Double Standards and hypocrisy is to rampant in the JW mind set.
Last weekend - my sister came into town, to visit my mother (JW). She is married to a Ministerial Servant. They stayed with my mother and my brother who smokes weed. He informed me of their visit - other than that I would not have known. They were in town for about 5 days/6 nights - with a rented vehicle as well.
My youngest brother who lives & is gay but never baptized or with me saw her as they drove to were he works to pay him a visit. Me being DF I did not get a visit, much less a phone call.
The last time she visited with her husband...I was still living at my mother's house, paid for her and her husband to go and visit a private island for the day....despite being DF. I was trying to mend family ties at that time.
I would say that I am hurt but I am not...less family around me. I do not need family or friends in my life who do not have my best interest at heart. It is the the double standards that really get me upset. It is OKAY for you to say hi to my gay brother and the one who smokes weed but because I am labelled a DF person and although we use to share rooms as kids you do not see me. TSK TSK!
