I'm curious as to what everyone does when they leave JW's? Do you go mainstream. keep to yourself, form a home church, or just feel plain lost? I have been studying for the last 7 years. The last 2 years I have been more involved, going to meetings, assemblies and conventions, now in the God's Love book and am learning about the different tracts. I love the people, but no matter how hard I try or how much I pray I cannot accept 1914. or that Jesus is Michael, or that only the 144,000 should partake in communion, or that 144,000 is even supposed to be taken literally, and I also don't believe the WT is "Jehovah's organization" yes some, even most, may be true Christians, but there are other true Christians outside the organization as well. Obviously this prevents me from ever being a JW or participating in the ministry, and rightly so.
Anyway, my husband and I have wanted to start a ministry for quite some time. We relate best to the teaching and beliefs of Christiandmi.org. I would like to know if anyone would be intersted in starting or participating in an online Bible study? My thoughts are that we could have a Facebook page, daily scriptures to read and discuss, topics to discuss, and just general fellowship and uplifting one another. We can share ideas as to how to minister outside of the JW organization and meet up with others in our area.
Just an idea! Would anyone be interested in something like this? Does something like this already exist that I have totally missed?
To clarify beliefs, I do not believe in the Trinity, hellfire or immortality of the soul and I don't agree with most "mainstream" religions. Hope to see some interest!
