Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
A girl at work invited me to a Christian rock concert. I decided that, although I'm not even sure if I consider myself a Christian anymore, it might me fun.
The name of the band was Lincoln Brewster (or maybe it is just the name of the leader of the band). It was held at a church, a big church. It rememinded me of a circuit hall, but with stadium seating and nicer chairs.
Anyways, the concert was a actually quite fun, although I'm not used to rock songs about praising God. Still, I couldn't help but think that an opened minded JW could actually like this music. It is uplifting, praises God, talks about trusting in God when times are tough and being patient for the kingdom to come. The only reason a JW wouldn't like this concert is that the words are coming out of the mouth of someone from a mainstream church.
Now I'm not converting to anything here. As I've posted before, I'm trying things out. There certainly wasn't anything demonic about the show.
So I went home and blasted "The Number of The Beast" by Iron Maiden. It helped balance things out.
